The Good (Heavy Metals) The Bad (Toxins) and The Special (Autistics)

Combining 3 weeks with 3 great articles, although quite different.

The first article (GOOD) is about the importance of getting the right minerals for our best health.  It is close to my heart because of my firm belief in the Melaleuca vitamins.  The high absorption rate of the  Melaleuca’s  minerals is what sets them apart from ALL other vitamins, and the process is patented.  I find it interesting that this blog article is from Interactive Metronome–but eating healthy is also part of having good neuron transmission going on!!  So check it out!

Another interest of mine is the toxic chemicals (BAD) that are all around and through us.  Again, using Melaleuca products immensely reduces our exposure to toxic chemicals.  This article will give you some food for thought!

And the SPECIAL! is a swwet article about the joy of working with children on the spectrum.  It dosen’t get any better than this!

Hoping this IMproves your day, knowing that we can supplement, get rid of toxins and enjoy those different from us!

Making Sense of Sensory

Dr. Seuss with color

So many diagnoses, issues, problems…Ways for us all to stand out :)!

I hadn’t heard of Sensory Processing Disorder until my grandson was diagnosed with it.  And it was definitely off to the Occupational Therapist and no ADHD medications.  I was fascinated.  The OT training was invaluable, and so worthwhile.  This short slideshow might help you with something to talk to your Doctor about.

Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung, the weather is inviting and so it is time to get our children outside!!  I like the idea of unplugging–but with all the battery operated technology they maybe need to come up with a new term :)!!  But, of course, the idea is there!!

The following post is important to get out to all parents, especially if they have younger children.  Even my 2 1/2 year old grandson loves to play on his parents phone.  I didn’t realize how damaging it could be!!  But I did know it just didn’t seem right.

Do Genetics Play a Role in Disabilities?

Wouldn’t it be awesome to wave a magic wand and be able to determine the WHY of ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Tourettes, and a myriad of other conditions?  How about genetics?  Immunizations?  Toxic chemicals?  Processed food?  Truly there are studies on all these possibilities.  And likely some amount of issue from all of them.  But the why doesn’t change the fact.  However

We really can do something about our cognition :)!

We really can do something about our cognition :)!

Interactive Metronome has been shown to help with these and several other diagnosis!  The following link has some good information on the genetics involved.
